1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites function properly and to provide information to site owners. This policy explains what cookies this Site uses and why, and also covers similar technologies such as browser storage, which we treat the same way as cookies.
2. What Cookies We Use
This Site is designed to use as few cookies as possible. We do not use advertising cookies or social media tracking pixels.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sv_trade | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in to your trade account so Ready Stock prices can be shown to you. Set only when you sign in, removed when you sign out. Holds your session token and the name and company on your account; it is never used for tracking or advertising. | Up to 24 hours, or until you sign out |
| __vercel_live_token | Strictly necessary | Vercel hosting session management | Session |
| (none) | Analytics | Privacy-first, cookieless aggregate traffic measurement via Vercel Web Analytics. No cookies set, no personal data collected, no cross-site tracking. | None (cookieless) |
| sv_consent | Strictly necessary | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we do not ask again on every page. Holds only the word granted or denied. | 180 days |
| sv_region | Strictly necessary | Records whether your visit comes from the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil, South Korea, Turkey or the Canadian province of Quebec, worked out from your connection's country and, in Canada, province, so we know whether analytics may run before you choose. Holds only optin or optout; your IP address is not stored. | 1 day |
| _ga | Analytics (see below) | Google Analytics 4. A random identifier that lets us count visits, the pages read and the country or region a visit comes from. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Analytics (see below) | Google Analytics 4. Keeps track of the current visit. | 2 years |
| sv_first_touch (browser session storage, not a cookie) | Analytics (see below) | Remembers, for this browser tab only, where your visit came from: any campaign tag (utm_) in the address of the page you arrived on and the name of the website that sent you (never its full address). If you then send an enquiry or request a trade account, it goes with it, so we know whether you found us through LinkedIn, a search engine or elsewhere. It holds no identifier and is never sent to Google. Kept only when analytics may run, under the same rule as Google Analytics below, and deleted when you decline. | Until you close the tab |
Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google LLC. How it runs depends on where your visit comes from, which we work out from your connection's country. From the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil, South Korea, Turkey or the Canadian province of Quebec (or when we cannot tell where it comes from): Google Analytics is not loaded at all and nothing is sent to Google until you click Accept. From anywhere else: Google Analytics runs with its analytics cookies from your first page; the banner tells you so, and Decline switches it off, deletes its cookies and stops all further collection. Advertising storage, advertising data and ad personalisation are off for every visitor, Google Signals is off, Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses, and we never send it your name, email address or anything you type into a form. Page addresses reach Google without their query string, except campaign tags (utm_). Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not collect any personally identifiable information. It is GDPR-compliant by design. The security check on the trade account sign-up form is Cloudflare Turnstile, loaded only on that page.
3. What We Do NOT Use
- Google Ads or any other advertising tracking
- Facebook Pixel or Meta tracking
- LinkedIn Insight Tag
- Retargeting or remarketing cookies
- Third-party behavioural advertising cookies
4. Your Choices
If your visit comes from the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil, South Korea, Turkey or the Canadian province of Quebec, analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in the banner. Elsewhere they are on from your first page and the banner lets you decline. Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time with Cookie Settings at the foot of every page; declining deletes the Google Analytics cookies and the stored visit source (sv_first_touch), stops collection and does not change how the Site works. You can also control cookies at the browser level:
- Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via their settings menu.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect Site functionality.
- Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every website: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Browser-specific instructions: Chrome → Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies. Firefox → Settings → Privacy & Security. Safari → Preferences → Privacy.
5. Third-Party Links
This Site may contain links to third-party websites (e.g. LinkedIn). Third-party sites have their own cookie policies; we have no control over their cookies and are not responsible for them.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we add new features that use additional cookies, we will update this policy and the “Last updated” date before those features go live.
